“I’ve worked with iCOM for a few years now . . . they were introduced to me by an insurer partner (Hiscox) in my previous role working for Jelf / Marsh as an alternative to our then existing discounted shopping benefits card provider.  Such was the impressiveness of iCOM as well as their speed of product and service delivery that I brought the iCOM proposition with me when I left Jelf / Marsh and joined Lockton. 

The iCOM proposition has been an absolute ‘eye opener’ with my Lockton colleagues across the UK having never been considered within Lockton before my arrival, given that we generally operate within the regulated insurance markets, and it’s perceived both internally and externally as an integral ‘out of the envelope’ differentiator within our membership benefits propositions that we deliver to our trade association, subscription based membership body and charity affinity groups.  It’s been, quite frankly, a joy and a privilege (and a lot of fun along the way!) working with iCOM and as a result of this and their first class product and service delivery, iCOM are now established as our only provider of discounted shopping and card benefits.

Given that Lockton work within the framework of a FCA regulated insurance industry and the iCOM offering doesn’t sit within that FCA regulated framework, we have entered into a contractual relationship with iCOM whereby account management is undertaken by iCOM direct with our affinity clients but with me having a high level oversight of the iCOM / client account management on an ongoing basis . . . to date, we have experienced no problems or issues whatsoever with this process and I can only report positive feedback from our affinity clients.

In summary, the feedback from our trade association, subscription based membership body and charity affinity group clients has been that of glowing reports and all of our clients without exception recognise that the iCOM proposition provides an ‘added value’ differentiator for both the affinity bodies and their members and assists with both member acquisition and member retention.  Aside from the downloadable electronic Vectis Card app, our affinity clients like the fact that physical membership discount card can be fully branded with their logo and livery and they see a big benefit in the fact that their brand is exposed every time their members use the card in a restaurant or shop.  The ‘wish list’ benefit whereby members can nominate their own favourite local brands and retailers for a discount is a significant attraction for members too.  The proposition is a ‘day-to-day’ tangible, cost effective way to add value and a USP to a membership and I’d recommend iCOM in a heartbeat”.

At TRG we are in the second year of our relationship with iCOM’s Vectis platform, when the relationship was initially set up we had plastic cards to provide our employee discount and only a limited number of people were using the Vectis site. We now have the Vectis app which gives all our employees both an electronic discount card and access to all the great offer on the Vectis website.

This change has been received positively by the restaurant teams, we think it is a great addition to the benefits we offer to out remotely based workforce, being both reasonably priced and offering a wide range of easily accessible discounts to suit all tastes.

We have found the team to be both friendly and professional, I would certainly recommend iCOM and their product especially for Companies with a large workforce and a limited budget.
